Andrew Koneschusky
Managing Director
Andrew M. Koneschusky is a veteran of political campaigns and Capitol Hill who has extensive experience designing strategic communications campaigns for high-stakes situations. As a Managing Director at CLS, Mr. Koneschusky provides public affairs, communications and crisis counsel to a number of prominent clients, including the Republic of Kenya and the Beer Institute.
Prior to joining CLS, Mr. Koneschusky was a Vice President at Levick Strategic Communications where he spent three years guiding clients through congressional investigations, state and federal regulatory actions, complex litigation and crises, especially those related to food and product safety.
His clients at Levick included an insurance and financial services company implicated in the economic collapse, a major U.S. airline that faced FAA scrutiny over missed inspections, a FEMA trailer manufacturer caught in the crosshairs of the House Oversight Committee, and a foreign government seeking the return of its citizens detained at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Prior to joining Levick, Mr. Koneschusky was a spokesperson for leading Democratic Members of Congress, including working as National Press Secretary for Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and as Communications Director for Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY). While in the House, Mr. Koneschusky also assisted the late Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) in his 2006 bid to become House Majority Leader.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Koneschusky served as Executive Director of the Louisiana Democratic Party and, prior to that, as the state party’s Communications Director.
Mr. Koneschusky is a New York native and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
